For April 26th… On This Day in Disney History!

On this day in Disney History… On this day in 1958, Walt Disney uses the cast of his popular television series, Zorro, for a few live performances at Disneyland for the very first time. Titled “Zorro Days”, the cast of the show, including star Guy Williams, appears in parades each day, and performs in Frontierland for four shows daily. The shows consist of Zorro outsmarting his nemesis, Sergeant Garcia and Commendante Monastario. Once defeated, children in attendance of the show were given a chance to sword fight with Zorro himself. There will be two more major Zorro appearances at Disneyland in 1958, May 30th through June 1st…and November 27th through the 30th.
