3 Attractions Added to FastPass/MaxPass at Disneyland !

ANAHEIM, CA – On Tuesday, Disneyland ticket price increases were rolled out in an attempt to control the unbearable crowds. But there was another announcement that you might have missed and we’re actually excited about it. 3 attractions will be added to the FastPass/MaxPass roster this year!

Autopia FastPass

Returning for the first time since 2015, Autopia is making its way back to the FastPass system. FastPasses were distributed for Autopia next to the Innovations building in Tomorrowland, but in 2015 they removed this option when they began building the Star Wars Launch Bay. I’m excited to see this return!

Monsters Inc FastPass

The second attraction and also a newcomer is Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue! in California Adventure! Lines for this ride rarely exceed 30 minutes, but it would be nice to just skip the line and head directly to the front, so I’m all in!

Last, but definitely not least, is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Disneyland! We have all been waiting for this attraction to get FastPasses for a while and it’s finally happening!

It’s been about 6-months since Smugglers Run opened, and with the popularity of Rise of the Resistance, crowds have flocked to reserve a Boarding Pass leaving the Smugglers Run standby actually doable. If you are unfamiliar with the Boarding Pass system, before you can ride this attraction you MUST reserve a ticket on your phone or at the ticket kiosks in Tomorrowland. With that said, Boarding Passes for this ride usually fill up within minutes of the park’s opening! Only people who arrive at least an hour before opening actually get Boarding Passes. Once the passes are gone, no new Boarding Passes are issued for the day. I am not a fan of this system, because those of us who come later in the day do not have the opportunity to ride as there is no standby line.

Coming this summer, the Avengers Academy will open in California Adventure with a new E-ticket level Spider-Man attraction. I believe at this time they will open Rise of the Resistance to a standby queue and hopefully, FastPasses will be introduced.

Finally, during Disney’s latest ticket increase, the MaxPass prices have also changed. For a single-day, the prices went from $15 to $20, and $125 for Annual Passports.
